POSITION SUMMARY
This Architect will work in pre-design, programming, design, construction administration & Documentation to ensure design falls within specific parameters set by customer to comply/meet with needs assessments of the project.Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Develops design and technical solutions under the general supervision of Project Architect.
2. Produces construction documents under general supervision of Project Manager
3. Assists in data collection, documentation, and analysis of existing facilities assessment.
4. Performs materials research, writes specifications, and coordinates specifications with specification writer.
5. Performs building and zoning code compliance reviews.
6. Reviews shop drawings and ensures that drawings are prepared in accordance with company standards.
7. Performs construction site visits and construction administration tasks under general supervision of Project Architect and/or Project Manager.
8. Maintains project files in accordance with established standards and procedures.
9. Assesses, solves & document-related issues during construction.
10. Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed and/or directed
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Professional degree in Architecture or equivalent permitted for licensure.
2. Three years of previous work experience.
3. Knowledge of design and architectural design trends and applications, engineering, and construction documentation.
4. Ability to communicate 3-dimensional site conditions and requirements in a 2-dimensional format.
5. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in math or diagram form and deal with several variables.
