What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and delivery documentation, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, loading zones, and other key parts of the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns, unusual activity, and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, parking areas, trailer lots, and dock areas, with working environments and conditions varying by client site.
• Support visitor management and vehicle access processes by maintaining accurate logs, communicating with site contacts, and following post orders related to employees, vendors, and/or shipments.

Minimum Requirements:

• Security experience of 1+ years is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
