ABOUT THE ROLE

We are searching for a Senior Island Guide for a luxury island resort in the Seychelles. This is a highly personalized, guest-facing role, unlike a traditional butler or concierge position. The Senior Island Guide combines intuitive hosting, destination storytelling, excursion coordination, and operational oversight to craft a seamless and deeply memorable experience for each guest throughout their stay.

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Serve as the primary point of contact for guests from arrival to departure, delivering warm, discreet, and anticipatory service
• Welcome guests upon arrival and provide a personalised island orientation
• Organize and coordinate all guest activities and excursions, including snorkelling, diving, fishing, spa bookings, private dining, and wellness experiences
• Accompany guests during selected activities and foster meaningful connections with the destination, nature, and local culture
• Coordinate with Housekeeping to ensure villa presentation, amenities, minibar, and special requests meet guest expectations at all times
• Conduct regular villa checks and follow up on maintenance matters to ensure timely resolution
• Maintain accurate guest notes, daily logs, and handover reports to ensure continuity of service
• Promote resort experiences and upsell services in line with individual guest preferences

 

WHAT YOU BRING

• Previous experience in a lodge, remote luxury island, or similar high-end guest-facing environment
• Fluent in English plus at least 2 additional languages such as French, German, Italian, Russian, or Arabic
• Warm, professional demeanour with exceptional attention to detail and a genuine passion for hospitality
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple guest requests simultaneously
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times
• Certification in diving, tour guiding, or lodge operations is a strong advantage
• Pre-opening experience is an advantage
• Comfortable with the demands of a 24/7 luxury resort operation, including shifts, weekends, and holidays
