IT Support Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Support Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems, providing timely support to end-users, and maintaining infrastructure reliability across the organization. You will play a key role in troubleshooting, system maintenance, and continuous improvement of IT services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first- and second-level technical support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Respond promptly to service desk requests and ensure effective resolution of all IT incidents.
- Support and troubleshoot issues for both on-site and remote users, including branch locations.
- Maintain and update IT inventory, including hardware, software, and system assets.
- Log, track, and close support tickets accurately, ensuring proper documentation and timely follow-up.
- Document resolutions, case studies, and standard operating procedures to enhance the organization’s knowledge base.
- Perform regular system health checks, equipment inspections, and preventive maintenance.
- Ensure all systems are compliant with security policies, including keeping antivirus and other security software up to date.
- Collaborate with team members to improve service delivery and IT processes.
- Participate in after-hours on-call support when required.
- Carry out additional IT-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or higher qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer/Telecommunication Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Windows-based support or helpdesk environment.
- Hands-on experience with service desk operations and technical helpdesk support.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including:
- Active Directory
- Group Policy
- DNS and DHCP
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, ADSL, VPN).
- Experience supporting Windows desktop and server environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness to travel.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
