Job Title: Metal & Stainless Steel Welder Fabricator

Location: Stroud Salary: £17 - £ 19.00 per hour Hours:Minimum 40 hours per week (average 48 hours per week) About the Role We are seeking a skilled Metal & Stainless Steel Welder Fabricator to join our team, supporting projects within the water industry. You will be working alongside mechanical and civil engineering teams to fabricate and assemble high-quality components used in water infrastructure and treatment systems. Working Hours & Overtime

 Standard working hours: 07:00 – 16:00, with a 1-hour unpaid break  Weekday hours are paid at the standard hourly rate  Overtime is typically available to meet project demands  Weekend shifts are paid at time and a half (£28.50 per hour)

Key Responsibilities

 Fabricate and weld mild steel and stainless steel components to engineering drawings and specifications

 Perform MIG and TIG welding to a high standard  Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and blueprints  Assemble fabricated parts for installation in water industry projects  Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and industry standards  Carry out inspections and basic quality checks on completed work  Collaborate with mechanical and civil engineers to meet project requirements  Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Requirements

 Proven experience as a welder fabricator, particularly with stainless steel  Strong MIG and TIG welding skills  Ability to read and work from technical drawings  Experience working on infrastructure, water industry, or similar engineering projects

(preferred)  Good understanding of health & safety regulations  Strong attention to detail and workmanship quality  Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable Skills

 Previous experience in the water or utilities sector  Welding certifications (e.g., coded welding)

 Experience with site installation work
