Volunteers are an essential part of our youth sports programs, and we need your help to make them successful. Whether or not you have a child on the team, you are welcome to apply to become a volunteer coach.

Volunteers are an essential part of our youth sports programs, and we need your help to make them successful. Whether or not you have a child on the team, you are welcome to apply to become a volunteer coach.
You will become part of a dedicated team of professionals that will be challenged to learn and grow in an environment that possesses six core values:

This is a recreational program focused on equal playing time, skill development, and creating a fun, safe, and positive environment.
Volunteer Coach Benefits
- Account credit upon successful completion of the season (resident rate: $90)
- “Save 5” program allowing coaches to request up to 5 players for their team (this includes your child and player(s) who must be registered for the season)
- Reserved indoor practice space at local Goodyear school gyms
- Practice equipment provided
- Coaching resources available
- Coach polo
- Opportunity to earn volunteer hours
Coaching Expectations
- Attend the in-person coaches meeting
- Communicate with your team and parents throughout the season (TeamSnap, phone, text, etc.)
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of the game and ability to teach skills and drills
- Interact professionally and respectfully with players, parents, coaches, officials, spectators, and staff
- Plan and lead engaging, instructional practices
- Teach sportsmanship and teamwork
- Educate participants on rules and program expectations
- Communicate effectively with all program participants and stakeholders
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Submit a volunteer application and pass a background check
- Agree to and follow the Code of Conduct
