The Remote Sensing & Production Technology Lead is accountable for end‑to‑end delivery of a multi‑site technology and automation portfolio delivery across Upstream, ensuring safe, reliable and value‑driven execution from concept through to operational handover.
The role provides strong portfolio governance with a team distributed across the operating centers, prioritization and integration across delivery squads, translating strategic intent into executable plans while maintaining deep alignment with Upstream operational needs, constraints and standards.
Accountabilities
Lead the facilities automation portfolio, delivering initiatives across multiple sites, aligned to Upstream priorities and agreed business outcomes.
Own portfolio planning and sequencing, balancing demand, delivery capacity, cost, risk and value across sites and initiatives. Contribute to the FM process and manage/monitor team spend. Manage HSSE compliance of the Sensors Labs
Execute delivery using CVP, Agile, or stage‑gated frameworks with clear scope, schedules, cost forecasts, portfolio‑level risks, and quality controls.
Act as the day‑to‑day point of contact for operations, owning escalation and resolution of portfolio‑level and site‑level risks, issues and dependencies.
Manage vendor engagement, technical integration, and site‑level commercial alignment, ensuring delivery remains within agreed portfolio cost and risk boundaries.
Engagement with external bodies such as University collaborations and participation in Industrial forums such as Sprint Robotics
Ensure operational data quality, including validation and effective use of dashboards for CBM, alarms, and surveillance, and for portfolio performance and health reporting. Integration with other systems of record and digital twin.
Coordinate testing, validation, FAT/SAT, PoC‑to‑pilot progression, site readiness, commissioning, and handover, ensuring consistent standards and assurance across the portfolio.
Drive adoption and readiness by coaching site teams and delivery squads, ensuring delivered solutions transition successfully into steady‑state operations.
Deliver effective digital integration including digital security compliance for facilities automation, ensuring validated, intelligence‑supported data reaches operators for safe, efficient decision‑making.
Provide transparent portfolio performance insight, including progress, cost, risk, dependencies, adoption and outcomes, to support governance and reprioritisation decisions. Develop performance metrics (KPI's) and standardised reporting.
Experience / Capabilities
Strong track record delivering a portfolio of projects across multiple sites, with accountability for planning, sequencing, cost, risk performance and delivery outcomes at portfolio level. ***

Proven ability to coach teams and support consistent execution across sites. ***
Skilled at coordinating engineers, operations, site teams, and vendors to land solutions effectively.
Experience with operational data, dashboards, CBM/alarms, and decision‑support tools, including portfolio‑level performance and health reporting.
Strong cross‑disciplinary communication and problem‑solving, including supporting portfolio‑level planning, prioritisation and trade‑off decisions.
Demonstrated ability to manage portfolio‑level risks, dependencies and delivery trade‑offs across multiple initiatives.
