What You'll Do
Play a vital role in safely transporting clients, staff, and materials across our programs and community locations. Drivers are trusted front-line representatives of BHA, ensuring every ride is safe, respectful, reliable, and client-centered.
This safety-sensitive position requires professionalism, attentiveness, and a commitment to following all traffic, safety, and organizational protocols. Drivers also support client success by implementing ABA-based strategies in collaboration with Behavioral Clinicians.
What We're Looking For
Required
- High school diploma or GED
- One of the following valid driver's licenses:
- Missouri Class E with an S or P endorsement
- Missouri CDL Class B with a P endorsement
- Kansas Class C with an S endorsement
- Clean driving record
- Ability to meet company insurance requirements
- Ability to pass:
- Criminal background check
- Drug screening
- Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review
- Any required medical or fitness-for-duty evaluations
Preferred
- Two or more years of professional driving experience
- Experience transporting individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral health needs, or medical conditions
- Defensive driving training
- Crisis intervention or de-escalation training
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to safety and documentation
