JOB SCOPE
Responsible to provide scientific technical knowledge of the processes used to product. Provides understanding of the mechanisms at work in the processes and serves as a support person to Manufacturing Engineering and the factory. Provides engineering efforts towards continuously improving safety, quality and delivery performance of a particular process area. Provides technical assistance to internal customers and troubleshoots process problems as they arise and makes necessary adjustments to produce quality products in a timely manner.
This role focuses on solving complex manufacturing process challenges, driving process optimization, process adjustments, new equipment implementation, automation-related process development, and new process introduction. The position requires strong analytical thinking, learning agility, and hands-on engineering problem-solving capability in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
REQUIREMENTS
- Personal computer skills such as MICROSOFT OFFICE and relational database.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups.
- Ability to work under direct supervision.
- Ability to work with clearly defined project steps.
- Strong learning agility and ability to quickly adapt to complex products, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of identifying and solving problems independently.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with an engineering mindset.
- Ability to work in a fast-growing and evolving organization.
- Little to no knowledge of new product development processes and work flow.
- Little to no knowledge of some SBU product lines.
- Little to no experience in participating on multi-disciplinary product development teams.
- Limited knowledge of a particular technical area.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Materials, Inorganic Materials, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
- 2-5 years of experience.
- Candidates with a combination of R&D and manufacturing/process engineering experience are preferred.
- Experience in process development, process improvement, manufacturing engineering, automation implementation, or material-related industries is preferred.
