Description
Are you looking for a role where you’ll be responsible for carrying out professional telematics installations, reviewing and correcting vehicle configurations, and working with leading fleet management technology?
Then this might be the perfect opportunity for you! To continue accelerating our growth and strengthening our leadership position, we are looking for a highly motivated Telematics Field Installer based in Andalusia (preferably Seville) and able to move around Spain for work, quality-oriented, and committed to operational excellence in the field.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Installation & Commissioning
Conduct end-to-end professional installations of Webfleet telematics hardware (LINK tracking devices, PRO driver terminals, dash cameras, sensors, cold-chain solutions, TPMS solutions and accessories) across all vehicle types: cars, LCVs, trucks, trailers, buses, and powered assets.
Wire devices into vehicle electrical systems including basic 12V/24V power connections, ignition lines, and complex CAN bus network integrations (J1939, FMS, OBD-II).
Install and configure ancillary equipment: MDVR and vehicle CCTV systems, TPMS sensors, thermographs and temperature probes and driver coaching devices.
Activate devices on the Webfleet platform, verify GPS/GSM connectivity, and confirm real-time data transmission (location, speed, fuel consumption, engine diagnostics, driver behaviour metrics).
Follow Webfleet-specific installation standards, wiring schematics, and placement guidelines to ensure consistent, high-quality workmanship.
2. Maintenance, Diagnostics & Repair
Troubleshoot, test, and repair faulty telematics hardware using diagnostic tools, digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and Webfleet diagnostic software.
Perform firmware updates, software configuration changes, and device swaps in the field.
Identify root causes of technical issues including wiring faults, CAN bus communication errors, GPS/GSM signal problems, and power supply failures.
Provide first-line technical feedback on installation challenges to the Field Service Coordinator and Operations team.
3. Removal & De-installation
Remove end-of-life or decommissioned tracking devices, restoring vehicle wiring to original condition.
Manage returned hardware inventory and report device status accurately.
4. Documentation & Reporting
Log all activity details into Webfleet CRM / field service reports after each job, including photographs of completed installations.
Record work completed accurately using digital tools (Salesforce, service portal applications, laptop/tablet).
Ensure compliance with industry standards, health & safety policies, PPE usage, and risk assessments at all customer sites.
5. Customer Interface & Brand Representation
Represent the Webfleet / Bridgestone brand professionally at every customer site, acting as the first point of contact for technical queries.
Deliver an excellent customer experience through clear communication, punctuality, and a polite, professional manner.
Support installation training for the partner and dealer network as needed.
6. Stock & Equipment Management
Maintain company vehicle, specialist tools, and installation stock (kits, consumables, PPE) in good order.
Manage hardware inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels for scheduled installations.
