FirstHealth of the Carolinas—a private, not-for-profit healthcare network recognized by Becker’s Healthcare as a Top 150 Place to Work (three consecutive years)—is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide coverage at our Convenient Care Clinics.

Responsibilities

• Dependable work hours and great work-life balance – three 12-hour shifts per week (includes some weekends and holidays).  
• Our 7 locations are open 7 days/week from 8am – 8pm. 
• All locations are within 45 minutes of Pinehurst, NC. 
• Imaging and diagnostic testing on-site.

Qualifications

• Solo provider setting. Must be comfortable practicing autonomously with minimal oversight from the supervising physician.   

• PA must be a graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program and have NCCPA certification. 

• NP must be a graduate of a nurse practitioner education program and have national certification. 

• Minimum 3 years of APP experience required, prior Occupational Health experience preferred. 

• Other preferred qualifications include background in workers comp, working at employer sites, experience conducting veteran exams and/or NC disability exams. 

• Must have a clean background, NC licensure, and NC DEA. 
• DOT certification, and AHA BLS certification required, ACLS preferred.
