Job Description

As a GSOC Lead and GSOC Operator in San Mateo, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech and media location where you will serve as the front desk presence, greeting guests, managing access, monitoring activity, and supporting security-related operations with professionalism and care. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, visitor reception duties, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor lobby and front desk activity, greet employees and visitors, verify identification and access permissions, and direct guests in a professional manner.
• Answer phones and support front desk communications, document arrivals, deliveries, and/or unusual activity, and report concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following location protocols and escalation guidelines.
• Support access control for a dynamic technology-focused location by helping to deter unauthorized entry, maintaining accurate visitor records, and assisting with badge distribution and collection.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
