TPU Leader (Production Manager)

TPU Leader (Production Manager)

(Production Manager in Electronics manufacturing)

Role Purposes:

• Own end-to-end production performance for the entire TPU, delivering safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity results

• Ensure stable, leveled, and predictable production flow aligned with S+OP and SCM commitments

• Build process capability and built-in quality, minimizing variation, scrap, and rework

• Drive loss elimination and efficiency improvement using Lean / WCM principles (flow, pull, OEE, waste reduction)

• Develop flexible and capable production capacity through multi-skilled people, robust equipment, and standard work

• Lead a high-performance, continuous improvement culture with strong daily management and leadership accountability;

Major Accountabilities:

• Translate S+OP and SCM requirements into leveled, pull-based production plans with clear capacity commitments and delivery reliability;

• Establish and sustain shopfloor management (tier meetings, visual boards, shift handovers) to ensure fast detection and resolution of abnormalities;

• Drive structured problem solving using Lean/WCM methods (root cause analysis, PDCA, A3), ensuring effective and sustainable corrective actions;

• Lead cross-functional collaboration in daily operations with SCM, IE, Quality and Manufacturing teams to stabilize processes and remove constraints;

• Drive built-in quality and zero-defect mindset by ensuring process capability, first-pass yield, robust change control, and prevention of recurrence;

• Ensure built-in quality and process capability by enforcing standard work, process confirmation, and robust change management;

• Develop and maintain flexible and capable production capacity, including manpower planning, multi-skilling, equipment readiness, and layout optimization;

• Lead and support product transfers and New Product Introduction (NPI), ensuring readiness of people, processes, and equipment before mass production;

• Drive loss elimination and productivity improvement through systematic reduction of scrap, rework, downtime, and inefficiencies;

• Own TPU cost performance, including budget adherence, cost transparency, and continuous cost competitiveness improvement;

• Develop Team Leaders as frontline production owners, setting clear performance expectations and coaching them in daily execution, problem solving, and people leadership;

• Ensure competency, qualification, and succession planning for all production roles to meet current and future business needs;

• Foster a zero-accident culture, ensuring strict compliance with EHS standards and proactive risk elimination;

• Promote and sustain a continuous improvement culture, encouraging Kaizen participation and accountability at all organizational levels;

• Act as value stream owner, ensuring alignment between production, supply chain, engineering, and support functions toward common performance goals;

Role Requirements:

• From Bachelor's degree in Background in Electronics, Mechanics, Science or Industrial Engineering;

• Business fluent or native-language English and Vietnamese (written and spoken);

• Experience in leading a medium to large sized (around 100 - 300 people) – with full operational responsibility in a multinational manufacturing environment;

• Solid background in electronics and/or mechanical assembly manufacturing;

• 5–8 years of working experience in manufacturing with increasing leadership responsibility;

• Demonstrated experience in Lean Manufacturing or Operational Excellence environments;

• Lean Manufacturing and World Class Manufacturing principles (5S, Standard Work, Flow, Pull, Loss Elimination, Kaizen);

• Value stream and capacity management, including line balancing, flexibility, and utilization;

• Daily management systems, visual management, and structured problem solving (A3 / PDCA);

• Manufacturing KPIs and TPU-level cost ownership (delivery, quality, productivity, OEE, inventory);

• Strong understanding of cross-functional operations (MX, IE, Quality, SCP, WH / Logistics);
