Description
We are looking for an experienced, consumer-centric strategist who challenges conventional thinking, brings clarity to ambiguity and translates strategy into focused action. The Principal, EMEA Strategy will be a senior individual contributor within the EMEA Strategy team, helping shape and activate the future of Nike's integrated marketplace across Nike Direct and wholesale channels.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will report to the Director, Strategy EMEA, responsible for Marketplace, and work closely with the EMEA Strategy team and EMEA Marketplace leadership. Your primary business partners will be leaders across Nike Direct and Nike Sales with close connection to Global Strategy.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The successful candidate will bring marketplace experience across owned and wholesale channels, alongside a strong track record of independently leading complex, cross-functional strategy work from problem definition through recommendation and activation. They will combine rigorous problem solving with strong commercial judgment, stakeholder influence and the ability to connect enterprise direction with EMEA business realities.
What you bring:
- Solid experience in top-tier strategy consulting, commercial leadership and/or strategy roles within a complex consumer-led business; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
- Demonstrated marketplace experience across owned and wholesale channels, with an understanding of how consumer, brand and commercial choices come together across an integrated marketplace.
- Proven ability to independently lead complex strategic projects and planning processes from framing through recommendation and activation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous questions and apply rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Strong business judgment and the ability to connect consumer, brand, marketplace, commercial and financial considerations.
- Executive presence and proven influencing and relationship-management skills, with the ability to operate as a credible peer to senior business leaders and drive alignment without formal authority.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with experience developing clear, executive-ready recommendations.
- Ability to operate with a high degree of independence while maintaining clear upward communication and surfacing key risks and choices.
- Consumer-centric and entrepreneurial mindset, with a strong bias toward impact and action, and a collaborative, challenging and caring team orientation.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
Reporting to the Director, Strategy EMEA, responsible for Marketplace, you will lead priority strategic workstreams focused on shaping the future of the EMEA marketplace across Nike Direct and wholesale channels. You will also contribute to the annual strategic planning process, translating enterprise and EMEA priorities into clear choices, implications and plans.
- Lead end-to-end strategic projects across marketplace growth and broader business priorities, owning the problem solving, workplan and cross-functional engagement from framing through recommendation and activation.
- Develop fact-based perspectives, scenarios and executive-ready recommendations that support strategic planning and leadership decision-making, combining consumer, competitive, commercial and financial analysis.
- Partner with business leaders and critical functions as a trusted thought partner, constructively challenging assumptions, building alignment and translating strategy into clear priorities and executable plans.
- Contribute to the quality, capability and development of the broader EMEA and Global Strategy community through coaching, collaboration and best-practice sharing.
Application deadline: October 19, 2026.
