Role description:

Join Arcadis and play a key role in one of the UK's most significant aviation infrastructure programmes.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Consultant to support the delivery of the Gatwick Airport Northern Runway Programme, a major project that will enhance airport capacity and improve passenger experience while driving long-term economic growth.

Working as part of our Mobility Commercial Management team, you'll provide expert cost management services across the project lifecycle, partnering closely with client teams, contractors and delivery partners to ensure robust commercial performance and successful project outcomes.

This role requires a strong onsite presence, with a minimum of 4 days per week at Gatwick Airport, providing direct engagement with stakeholders and delivery teams.

Role accountabilities:

• Leading cost management activities across major project packages from feasibility through to completion.

• Developing and managing cost plans, estimates, budgets and financial reporting.

• Monitoring project performance, identifying risks and opportunities, and providing commercial insights to support decision-making.

• Supporting contract administration and commercial management activities under NEC contracts.

• Building strong relationships with clients, contractors and project stakeholders.

• Providing guidance and mentoring to junior team members.

• Supporting governance, assurance and reporting processes to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Significant experience delivering cost management services across major infrastructure projects.

• Experience within aviation, rail, highways or other complex capital programmes.

• Strong knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 contracts, including compensation events and change management processes.

• Demonstrable stakeholder management and client-facing experience.

• Ability to manage workstreams independently whilst contributing to wider programme objectives.

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.

• Chartered status (MRICS) or working towards chartership.

• CSCS card holder, or willing to obtain.
