Business Analytics Specialist

The Business Analytics Specialist extracts meaningful insights from data to inform business decisions, improves processes, and supports organizational goals. Contributes to evidence-based decision-making within the organization, and helps the business understand its performance, identifies areas for improvement, and capitalizes on opportunities for growth.

Position Responsibilities:

• Automated Reporting Solutions - Able to handle moderate to complex investigation/enhancements/change requests on standard reports. Acts as SME for standard reporting. Can also serve as back-up support in running standard reports in absence of the associate/s.
• Data Quality Assurance & Validation - Able to oversee quality control standards (i.e. accuracy, quality and timeliness of the reports produced before distribution)
• Ad Hoc Analytics & Investigations - Able to handle moderate to complex projects, adhoc data and/or report requests and could still handle investigations and queries about the standard reports.
• Report Lifecycle & Governance Management – Can ensure that inputs in the report inventory meets the standards indicated in the SLA and provide justification for those items not meeting the standards.
• Process Documentation & Knowledge Management – Can amend documentation for the enhancements made on the standard reports
• Requirements Analysis & Intake Management – Able to handle moderate to complex adhoc data and/or new report requests. Able to leverage business and data knowledge to satisfy stakeholder's needs.
• Project Coordination & Stakeholder Governance – Attends and contributes in weekly updates for business sponsor, leadership, and other stakeholders. Should be able to present/participate when ask for specifics on the reports handled.
• Risk Assessment & Controls Monitoring – Attends and contributes in weekly updates for business sponsor, leadership, and other stakeholders. Should be able to present/participate when ask for specifics on the reports handled.
• Continuous Process Improvement – Implement process improvement projects

 

Required Qualifications:

• University degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in strategy, transformation, project management, or analytical roles
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with demonstrated numerical aptitude and ability to independently analyze data
• Basic knowledge of Power BI or similar data visualization tools
• Solid PowerPoint skills with the ability to present data and insights in a clear, executive‑ready format
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver against timelines
• Ability to synthesize both quantitative and qualitative information into clear takeaways
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfort working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment with multiple stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Power BI, MS Excel, MS Access and other reporting technologies
• Knowledge of SQL and other relational database technologies preferred but not required
• Experience in data extraction, manipulation, and reporting
• Excellent customer focus and a commitment to quality while still meeting deadlines
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English. Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with a variety of stakeholders including mid-level managers
