In-house/on-site at Racing for Recovery. This is not a remote position. The employee is expected to work on-site and travel to events as required.


Racing for Recovery® is seeking a creative, motivated, dependable, and technically skilled Videographer, Digital Content Creator & IT Support Specialist to help tell powerful stories of recovery, resilience, mental health, and personal transformation.

This is a multifaceted position combining videography, photography, social media, livestream production, digital content creation, and basic IT support. The ideal candidate is creative, personable, comfortable with technology, and excited to work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Our work reaches people through live events, podcasts, social media, books, endurance sports, speaking engagements, support services, and community outreach. We believe people can recover, heal, grow, and achieve goals they once thought were impossible.


Key Responsibilities

Videography & Digital Content

  • Capture professional-quality video and photography at Racing for Recovery® events, presentations, fundraisers, community programs, speaking engagements, and special events.
  • Travel to Ironman races, conferences, media appearances, book signings, speaking engagements, and other events as needed.
  • Film and edit interviews, testimonials, promotional videos, educational content, reels, shorts, and behind-the-scenes footage.
  • Create engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, podcasts, and other digital platforms.
  • Manage social media content, posting schedules, and audience engagement.
  • Develop creative content ideas that increase awareness, engagement, and audience reach.
  • Repurpose long-form content into effective short-form content for multiple platforms.
  • Maintain consistency with Racing for Recovery® branding and messaging.
  • Work closely with Founder Todd Crandell and the Racing for Recovery® team to develop content strategies, campaigns, and storytelling initiatives.
  • Approach recovery and mental health stories with professionalism, empathy, discretion, and respect for privacy and confidentiality.
  • Follow organizational procedures regarding consent, authorization, and the appropriate use of client-related media.

Livestream & Studio Production

  • Produce and operate Racing for Recovery®'s weekly livestream support group every Thursday at 6:30 PM EST.
  • Operate cameras, microphones, lighting, audio equipment, livestreaming software, and other production technology.
  • Perform pre-production equipment and connectivity checks.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues before and during livestreams and events.
  • Maintain a professional viewing and listening experience for livestream participants.
  • Manage and create content from our dedicated in-house media studio at Racing for Recovery®.
  • Maintain cameras, lighting, audio equipment, podcasting tools, computers, streaming equipment, and other production technology.
  • Assist with recording and producing podcasts, interviews, promotional videos, educational materials, and other multimedia content.

IT & Technology Support

  • Provide basic day-to-day technical support to Racing for Recovery® staff.
  • Troubleshoot computers, printers, scanners, phones, audiovisual equipment, internet connectivity, Wi-Fi, and other workplace technology.
  • Assist with computer, workstation, monitor, and peripheral setup.
  • Assist with technology setup for new employees and recovery of agency equipment during employee offboarding.
  • Provide basic support for Microsoft 365, email, shared files, user accounts, passwords, printers, browsers, and common workplace software.
  • Assist with authorized software installations and routine updates.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of computers, cameras, phones, audiovisual equipment, and other technology assets.
  • Support technology used for meetings, trainings, presentations, events, podcasts, and livestreams.
  • Coordinate with designated third-party IT providers when issues require advanced technical support.
  • Help staff understand and appropriately use organizational technology.
  • Follow organizational confidentiality, privacy, security, and HIPAA-related policies when accessing devices or systems containing sensitive information.
  • Promote responsible technology practices involving passwords, access controls, phishing awareness, device security, and protection of organizational information.
  • Report suspected technology, security, privacy, or equipment concerns through established organizational procedures.

Additional Agency Responsibilities

  • Assist with additional media, technology, marketing, administrative, event, and organizational projects as needed.
  • Provide technical and audiovisual support for agency meetings, trainings, presentations, community activities, and special events.
  • Collaborate with leadership and team members on special projects and new agency initiatives.
  • Maintain organized, professional, and functional media, studio, and technology workspaces.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and provide support in areas that contribute to the efficient operation and continued growth of Racing for Recovery®.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned based on the needs of the agency.

Requirements

  

Qualifications

  • Experience operating professional video cameras, lighting, and audio equipment.
  • Strong video editing skills using Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar software.
  • Experience creating engaging social media and digital content.
  • Strong storytelling, interviewing, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable troubleshooting common computer, software, audiovisual, and technology issues.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and common workplace technology.
  • Ability to learn new technology quickly and communicate technical information to nontechnical users.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with a team.
  • Ability to interact professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive information.
  • Ability and willingness to travel for events and assignments.
  • Availability for occasional evenings, weekends, and special events.
  • Availability for the regularly scheduled Thursday evening livestream.
  • Ability to work in-house/on-site during established work hours.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional videography, photography, multimedia, marketing, or digital content experience.
  • Experience producing livestreams or podcasts.
  • Experience managing organizational social media accounts.
  • Basic IT or technical support experience.
  • Experience working with audiovisual, podcasting, and streaming technology.
  • Familiarity with privacy-conscious content creation in healthcare, behavioral health, recovery services, or other confidential environments.
  • Passion for recovery, mental health, fitness, endurance sports, and helping others.
