Responsibilities:

• Use an asphalt lute to spread, level, and finish asphalt around edges, joints, and areas the paver cannot reach
• Rake out uneven spots and remove excess material to help achieve the required grade and thickness
• Assist the paving crew with job site preparation and cleanup
• Work alongside paver and roller operators to keep paving operations moving efficiently
• Follow safety procedures and help maintain quality standards throughout each project
