Shawnee Mission Kia is seeking a motivated and dependable Lube Technician to join our service team. The Lube Technician is responsible for performing routine vehicle maintenance services while delivering exceptional customer service and contributing to the efficiency of the service department. This entry-level position offers opportunities for growth and advancement within the dealership.
Responsibilities
- Perform oil and filter changes on customer vehicles according to manufacturer specifications.
- Complete tire rotations, tire pressure checks, and basic tire maintenance.
- Inspect and top off vehicle fluids, including coolant, brake fluid, windshield washer fluid, and transmission fluid as applicable.
- Replace air filters, cabin filters, windshield wiper blades, and other maintenance items.
- Conduct multi-point vehicle inspections and accurately document findings.
- Check battery condition and perform battery replacements when needed.
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently and meets dealership quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Properly use and maintain shop equipment and tools.
- Communicate inspection results and vehicle needs to service advisors and management.
- Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Assist technicians and service staff with additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous automotive service experience is a plus but not required.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn automotive repair and maintenance.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must be able to work effectively as part of a team
