FormFactor is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Service Engineer to support our advanced wafer probing systems in Korea.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer support of FormFactor's semiconductor wafer probe stations.

This position requires strong technical expertise, excellent customer communication skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with global engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and qualify FormFactor wafer probe stations at customer sites.
• Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and system health checks.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, electrical, and mechanical issues.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers.
• Coordinate with Global Technical Support, Applications Engineering, R&D, and Manufacturing teams to resolve complex technical issues.
• Support customer evaluations (Demo), Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
• Deliver customer training on equipment operation, maintenance, and best practices.
• Maintain accurate service reports, installation records, and technical documentation.
• Support system upgrades, retrofits, and engineering change implementations.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of field service experience supporting semiconductor capital equipment.
• Strong knowledge of wafer probing systems, semiconductor testing, or precision motion systems.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, vacuum, pneumatic, and motion control systems.
• Familiarity with Windows-based software, networking, and equipment control systems.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong customer service mindset with effective communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel frequently within Korea and occasionally overseas.
• Business-level English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with semiconductor wafer probe stations.
• Experience supporting semiconductor manufacturers.
• Knowledge of wafer-level electrical measurements, RF testing, Silicon Photonics, MEMS, or Advanced Packaging applications.
• Experience with robotic systems, motion control, and precision alignment technologies.
• Familiarity with Keysight, Keithley, Tektronix, or other semiconductor measurement instruments.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and lead complex customer projects.
• Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional customer support.
