Position Summary

Join our collaborative team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Business Manager III, where you will play a key role in strengthening strategic client relationships and driving business growth within our Pharma Services Group.

  • Identify and develop opportunities for organic growth within existing accounts in partnership with Sales, Business Development, and site leadership.
  • Facilitate execution of portfolio management strategies across assigned clients, programs, and projects, including technology transfers and commercial product launches.
  • Serve as an escalation point for critical client and business needs, supporting prioritization, issue resolution, and timely decision-making.
  • Partner closely with project teams and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and a best-in-class client experience.
  • Drive contract compliance and support the development, negotiation, and execution of new contracts, amendments, and updates to existing agreements in collaboration with Portfolio Management, Business Development, Finance, Legal, and site leadership.
  • Support commercial and financial management of assigned accounts, including budgeting, forecasting, revenue planning, and financial analysis.
  • Manage the demand component of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), leveraging business intelligence, client forecasts, and market insights to support long-term demand and capacity scenario planning.
  • Contribute to development of the site's Annual Operating Plan and other business planning activities.
  • Evaluate client requirements and develop solutions that align with site capabilities, capacity, financial objectives, and overall business strategy.
  • Understand the technical and commercial requirements of client programs and how they contribute to broader site and business objectives.
  • Support client engagements throughout the product lifecycle, from initial business discussions and technology transfer through commercial launch and ongoing supply.
  • Monitor multiple complex client programs and priorities simultaneously while proactively identifying business risks, opportunities, and potential solutions.
  • Build consensus across functions and effectively communicate client priorities, business requirements, risks, and opportunities to internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, compliance, and professionalism in accordance with GMP requirements and Thermo Fisher Scientific policies and procedures.

Education & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in account management, project management, sales, marketing, business management, or related commercial functions with internal and/or external client-facing responsibilities.
  • Experience with pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and GMP-regulated environments.
  • Demonstrated experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and business planning.
  • Experience supporting or managing technology transfer projects and commercial product launches preferred.
  • Experience with S&OP processes, demand planning, and contract compliance preferred.
