About the Role:
Murray & Stafford, Inc. is a Denver and Front Range-based general contractor specializing in commercial and industrial tilt-up construction, office buildouts, and tenant finish work. We are seeking an experienced T.I. Project Manager to lead and manage tenant improvement projects from preconstruction through closeout. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at juggling multiple projects simultaneously, and is committed to delivering quality results on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the full lifecycle of multiple tenant improvement projects, from contract execution through final invoicing and closeout activities.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, identifying critical path items and proactively addressing potential delays.
  • Oversee project budgets, cost control, billings, collections, and monthly status reporting to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners, ensuring clear communication and aligned expectations.
  • Coordinate with site superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain quality standards and project timelines.
  • Review and interpret construction documents, contracts, and specifications to ensure work is executed according to approved plans.
  • Process RFIs, submittals, and change orders with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Coordinate and obtain all required permits and inspections in accordance with local building codes.
  • Identify project risks and develop proactive solutions to mitigate schedule and budget impacts.
  • Mentor and support project engineers and other team members, fostering professional growth and team collaboration.
  • Represent Murray & Stafford professionally in all client interactions, building lasting relationships and trust.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of project management experience in commercial construction, with a significant portion devoted to tenant improvement projects (ideally managing multiple TI projects concurrently).
  • Must reside in Colorado, we are not offering relocation assistance at this time.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and local permitting practices.
  • Experience with job costing, budgeting, and cost-loaded scheduling.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Bluebeam, and MS Project or equivalent scheduling software.
  • Reliable personal vehicle, valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance; daily travel to jobsites throughout the Denver Metro area.
  • Previous experience in estimating or superintendence is preferred.
  • Must pass a 5-panel drug test and post-offer physical.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification and CPR/First Aid certification is plus.

Desired Skills & Traits:
  • Strong leadership abilities with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Skilled negotiator.
  • Proactive problem-solver who thinks critically and acts decisively under pressure.
  • Dependable, ethical, and committed to maintaining professional integrity.
  • Adaptable and solution-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.

Location & Schedule:
  • Office based in Denver, Colorado, with projects in the Denver Metro and Front Range area.
  • Typical work is Monday–Friday with occasional evenings or weekends as project needs require.
