Overview

Blue Dot Services of Maryland, in partnership with American Residential Services (ARS), the nation's largest provider of residential HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services, is hiring a Sales Manager to help drive sales performance and develop a high-performing team.

In this leadership role, you'll work alongside the Branch Sales Manager and General Manager to recruit, train, coach, and develop our in-home sales representatives (Comfort Advisors). You'll also partner closely with our HVAC service technicians, coaching them on identifying sales opportunities, conducting effective opportunity calls, and executing a successful lead turnover process.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

• Support the Branch Sales Manager and General Manager with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, and coaching in-home sales representatives (Comfort Advisors).

• Conduct sales meetings, ride-alongs, and one-on-one coaching sessions to strengthen sales skills and improve individual performance.

• Motivate, mentor, and develop Comfort Advisors to consistently achieve monthly HVAC sales goals.

• Work directly with HVAC service technicians to improve their ability to identify replacement opportunities during service calls.

• Coach technicians on opportunity calls, customer communication, and the lead turnover process to maximize sales opportunities.

• Partner with service and sales leadership to improve lead quality, turnover rates, and overall sales conversion.

• Assist with weekend retail sales operations (Saturday/Sunday) and support retail lead generation efforts, including visits to partner stores as needed.

• Monitor sales performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Help create a culture of accountability, teamwork, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.

• Provide regular performance updates and recommendations to branch leadership.

Qualifications

What You'll Need:

• 2+ years of sales leadership, coaching, or team development experience; in-home sales experience strongly preferred.

• HVAC industry experience strongly preferred, particularly with residential replacement sales or service-to-sales opportunities.

• Proven ability to motivate, train, and coach sales professionals to improve performance.

• Understanding of sales processes, lead management, and customer relationship building.

• Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with sales managers, service technicians, and branch leadership.

• Comfortable conducting field ride-alongs, providing real-time coaching, and holding team members accountable.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; CRM experience a plus.

• Flexibility to support weekend retail sales operations as needed.

• Goal-driven mindset with a passion for developing people and delivering results.
