Job Description
Planted Earth is a distinguished Residential Landscape Contracting and Maintenance company, renowned for working with the region's most talented Landscape Architects. We install and maintain premier landscapes across Maryland, Virginia, and Washington D.C.

Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape enhancements and improvements at residential properties, including planting trees, shrubs, perennials, and seasonal plant material.
- Prepare planting beds and lawns, including soil preparation, digging properly sized planting holes, mulching, edging, and installing sod or seed.
- Assist with landscape renovations, plant replacements, and other enhancement projects as directed by the Crew Leader.
- Follow proper planting and horticultural practices to support plant health and long-term landscape performance.
- Safely operate and maintain hand tools, power equipment, and other landscaping equipment.
- Ensure equipment and tools are properly maintained, fueled, and ready for daily use.
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites, vehicles, and equipment.
- Participate in company training and follow established safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the Crew Leader and team members to complete projects efficiently and to Planted Earth's quality standards.
Qualifications
- Entry-level candidates welcome! Previous experience in professional landscaping, gardening, or horticulture is a plus, but not required.
- Previous experience planting trees, shrubs, and other landscape materials is preferred but not required.
- Basic understanding of landscape installation techniques and equipment is a plus.
- Ability to operate basic landscaping equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for gardening.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
