Eaton’s Corporate division is currently seeking a Senior Manager, Employee and Labor Relations, Mexico and Dominican Republic. This position can be based in any of the main Eaton locations. It requires up to 25% travel.
## What you’ll do:
Eaton is currently seeking a Senior Manager, Employee and Labor Relations. This position is based in Mexico, with preferred proximity to one of the following locations: Querétaro, Mexico City, Juárez, or Tijuana.
The Senior Manager, Employee and Labor Relations, leads employee and labor relations strategy across Mexico and the Dominican Republic. This role partners with business leaders, Human Resources, and Legal to foster positive employee relations, manage labor and employment risk, ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and support business objectives.
The role serves as the regional subject matter expert for employee and labor relations, collective bargaining, workplace investigations, organizational change, and workforce transformation initiatives. This leader drives consistent practices, strengthens leadership capability, and leads strategic projects that enhance organizational effectiveness and the employee experience.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead employee and labor relations strategies that support business objectives and promote a positive, compliant, and productive work environment.
- Serve as the regional expert on employee relations, labor relations, collective bargaining, labor law, and workforce risk management.
- Partner with business and Human Resources leaders to identify, assess, and mitigate employee and labor relations risks.
- Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on performance management, discipline, workplace conflict, organizational change, investigations, and other complex employment matters.
- Support collective bargaining activities, contract negotiations, and interpretation of collective bargaining agreements.
- Lead complex employee relations investigations and partner with Legal, Ethics, and Human Resources to ensure timely and appropriate resolution of workplace concerns.
- Monitor changes in labor, employment, and social security laws; assess business impacts; and provide guidance on compliance requirements.
- Establish and deploy employee and labor relations policies, standards, training, and governance processes to drive consistency across the region.
- Analyze workforce and labor relations trends, including turnover, absenteeism, and employee feedback, to identify opportunities and risks.
- Lead regional workforce transformation initiatives, including organizational change, labor relations strategy, compliance improvements, and employee experience enhancements.
- Drive the consistent application of Eaton's values, policies, and people practices across the region.
## Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; preferred fields include business, human resources, law, or a related discipline.
- Master’s degree in business, law, human resources, labor relations, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in labor relations, labor law, or human resources in Mexico or the Dominican Republic required, preferably within a global, matrixed manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Experience managing the relationship and negotiation with a site's union.
## Skills:
- Ability to effectively influence, coach, and build credibility within a global, matrixed environment.
- Strong knowledge of labor law and other relevant regulations within the countries of scope.
- Demonstrated strengths in negotiation, project management, problem solving, and sound judgment.
