Finance Operations Assistant
Manpower Malta is seeking to recruit a Finance Operations Assistant to join our client's team.
Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and organised individual to support daily financial operations, banking activities, payment processing and compliance-related tasks. The successful candidate will work closely with the operations team to ensure transactions are processed accurately, client documentation is maintained appropriately, and internal procedures are followed. This role is suited to someone with experience in corporate administration, financial operations or compliance who can manage sensitive information responsibly and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with client bank account opening applications, prepare supporting documentation, handle banking correspondence, and maintain bank mandates and authorised signatory records.
- Prepare and input client payments on banking platforms, verify payment instructions and supporting documents, and maintain accurate payment logs.
- Monitor client account activity against expected profiles, identify unusual or potentially suspicious transactions, and escalate concerns to the relevant internal personnel.
- Support client onboarding and periodic reviews by collecting and verifying KYC/CDD documentation, maintaining client files, and assisting with compliance records and internal reporting.
- Provide operational and administrative support to the wider team, ensuring accurate record keeping and the confidential handling of client information.
Key Requirements:
- Qualification or equivalent background in Accounting, Business Administration, Operations, Compliance or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a corporate service provider or professional services firm.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint, with strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage data and reporting accurately.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, fluency in English, and the ability to handle confidential information while working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Additional language skills would be considered an asset.
