Summary
Working under the direction of licensed personnel, assists patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, and mobility. Assists with obtaining and recording patients’ vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.

Essential Functions
Accurately obtains and records vital signs, weights, heights, intake, and output within established timeframes and/or as requested.
Completes all required documentation in the medical record accurately and timely.
Interacts effectively and professionally with patients and their families.
Assists patients with basic hygiene and activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding.
Assists patients with turning and repositioning in bed as needed.
Assists patients with transfers between the bed, wheelchair, and other designated areas as appropriate.
Listens to patients’ health concerns and promptly reports observations or concerns to the nursing staff.
Qualifications
Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required
Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No
Licenses and Credentials
Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] required
Nursing Assistant [LNA - New Hampshire] - New Hampshire Board of Nursing required
Experience
Clinical/Medical Office/Managed Care Experience 1-2 years preferred or Nursing Assistant
Experience 0-1 year preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Knowledgeable in general nursing assistant practices, personal care and basic medical services. - Knowledgeable of patient rights, privacy and confidentiality. - Demonstrates sensitivity to the needs of patients and employees. - Understands and is committed to maintaining highest level of confidentiality and adheres to policies on confidentiality. - Good communication skills both written and oral. - Ability to lift 50 pounds independently.
