Location: BGC or Mandaluyong

Work Setup: Hybrid, 3 Days WFH and 2 Days Onsite

Compensation Flexibility: Open to negotiation for highly qualified candidates.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in IBM z/OS Systems Administration, providing technical leadership and coordinating team activities to achieve project objectives.

  • Manage and support IBM z/OS mainframe environments, ensuring system stability, availability, security, and operational efficiency.

  • Make technical decisions at the team level and contribute to key decisions involving multiple teams.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex mainframe operating system issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.

  • Monitor system performance, perform performance tuning, and conduct capacity planning to support current and future operational requirements.

  • Implement automation tools and scripting solutions to streamline system administration tasks and improve operational efficiency.

  • Manage system security configurations and ensure compliance with applicable security policies, standards, and procedures.

  • Facilitate communication and coordination across technical teams to ensure project milestones and operational objectives are achieved.

  • Mentor and support team members through knowledge sharing, technical guidance, and professional development.

  • Identify potential technical and operational risks and develop mitigation strategies to maintain system reliability, security, and project timelines.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in IBM z/OS Systems Administration.

  • Strong knowledge of IBM z/OS, mainframe operating systems, and system management practices.

  • Experience in system performance monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning.

  • Familiarity with automation tools and scripting for mainframe system administration.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex system issues.

  • Proficiency in managing system security and maintaining compliance with relevant standards and organizational policies.

  • Ability to work collaboratively across technical teams, contribute to technical decisions, and provide subject matter expertise.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience improving mainframe operational efficiency through automation and process optimization.

  • Experience supporting complex enterprise mainframe environments and coordinating technical activities across multiple teams.

  • Experience mentoring technical personnel and documenting system administration procedures and solutions.

  • Familiarity with risk management and operational controls in enterprise mainframe environments.
