This role involves establishing and maintaining strong relationships with GPs, driving referrals, and promoting healthcare services to GPs within a defined catchment area. Additionally, the role may include duties as assigned by management from time to time.

2) JOB DESCRIPTION

GP Relationship Management & Engagement

  • GP Network Development
Build, nurture, and maintain relationships with General Practitioners (GPs) in the local area (within a 10 to 20 KM radius). Act as the primary liaison between GPs and the hospital, facilitating communication and ensuring GPs are informed about hospital services and updates.
  • GP Visitations
Conduct regular visits to GPs within the local catchment area to establish trust and strengthen referral pathways. Provide information about the hospital's specialist services, facilities, and any new healthcare programs.
  • GP Feedback & Issue Resolution
Gather feedback from GPs regarding their experience with the hospital’s services, patient referrals, and any challenges they face. Work closely with internal departments (e.g., clinical, operations, billing) to address any issues or concerns raised by GPs.
  • GP Education & Support
Organize informational sessions, workshops, or webinars tailored for GPs to keep them updated on new treatments, hospital capabilities, and specialist expertise. Ensure GPs are equipped with the necessary information to make referrals.

Marketing Support for GP Engagement

  • Promotional Materials for GPs
Develop and distribute marketing materials, brochures, and informational content specifically designed for GPs, highlighting the hospital’s services and expertise.
  • Referral Program Development
Work with the Head of Commercial & Marketing to create and implement a structured referral program that incentivizes GPs to refer patients to KPJ Klang Specialist Hospital. This may include organizing referral campaigns, loyalty programs, or educational sessions.
  • Targeted Marketing Campaigns
Assist in the creation and execution of marketing strategies targeted specifically at GPs. This includes organizing events, seminars, and other engagement activities to raise awareness about the hospital’s services among the GP networks.
  • Performance Monitoring
Monitor the performance of GP referrals and marketing initiatives. Track the number of patients referred by GPs and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of outreach efforts. Report findings to the Head of Commercial & Marketing.

New GP Recruitment & Network Expansion

  • GP Outreach & Recruitment
Identify and target new GPs within the region who may not yet be part of the hospital’s referral network. Actively engage with these GPs to introduce the hospital’s services and establish long-term relationships.
  • Area Expansion
Explore opportunities to expand the GP network beyond the immediate catchment area, especially in neighbouring districts where patient referrals can be increased.
  • Collaboration with GPs
Work with GPs to develop collaborative programs or initiatives, such as shared health screening programs, wellness events, or preventive healthcare campaigns, to foster deeper engagement.

GP-Focused Event Coordination & Support

  • GP-Centric Events
Plan, organize, and execute events specifically targeted at GPs. These may include clinical seminars, networking events, GP forums, and informational sessions that highlight the hospital’s capabilities and the expertise of its specialists.
  • Educational Workshops for GPs
Coordinate educational workshops on key medical topics, hospital services, and healthcare advancements. Ensure these events align with the hospital’s strategic marketing goals and provide value to the GP community.
  • GP Conference Support
Represent the hospital at GP conferences, medical fairs, and other healthcare events to promote KPJ Klang’s services. Coordinate hospital participation in these events and ensure promotional materials are available.

Internal Communication & Coordination

  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration

  • Internal GP Training Support
Work closely with clinical teams to ensure that internal staff are knowledgeable about the GP referral process, enabling smooth collaboration between the hospital and GPs.
  • Competitor Analysis
Monitor and gather information about competitors, specifically regarding how they engage with GPs. Report on competitors’ activities, promotions, and service offerings that may impact GP relationships.
