Cleaner

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in City of Westminster to assist with the appointment of a Cleaner, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £17.00 - £23.00 per hour

Summary:

Westminster City Council is seeking Cleaner to provide specialist cleaning and decontamination services in residential properties affected by hoarding, infestations, hazardous waste and challenging living conditions. The role involves restoring homes to safe and habitable standards while supporting vulnerable residents with dignity and respect.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out specialist deep cleaning and decontamination in challenging residential environments.
• Safely handle and dispose of hazardous waste in line with health and safety regulations.
• Use specialist cleaning equipment, chemicals and PPE appropriately.
• Work with housing, environmental health and social care teams to support vulnerable residents.
• Maintain accurate records and report hazards, safeguarding concerns and property damage.

Essential Requirements:

• Previous deep cleaning experience, preferably in challenging environments.
• Flexibility to work bank shifts on an as-and-when-required basis.
• Knowledge of COSHH, health and safety procedures, PPE and safe waste disposal.
• Ability to operate specialist cleaning equipment safely.
• Basic IT skills for record-keeping.
• Full UK driving licence.
