Key Responsibilities
Facilities Engineer – Electrical Infrastructure & Critical Systems
Primary Focus:
- Electrical distribution systems
- Test lab infrastructure
- Data center operations
- Mission-critical systems
Responsibilities would include:
- Day-to-day electrical maintenance and troubleshooting
- Manage electrical infrastructure supporting office, laboratory, and data center operations.
- Oversee electrical distribution systems.
- Support operation and maintenance of switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, generators, PDUs,
and critical power systems.
- Serve as technical lead for high-power test laboratories.
- Monitor electrical capacity, load growth, and reliability requirements.
- Coordinate electrical studies including arc flash, coordination, and short-circuit analysis.
- Support data center cooling and power infrastructure.
- Participate in planning and execution of electrical capital projects.
- Coordinate with utility providers and electrical contractors.
- Support commissioning and startup of new laboratory and data center equipment.
- Participate in developing standards for electrical infrastructure across regional facilities.
- Provide technical support to satellite sites on electrical system issues.
Minimum Qualifications
Background
- Electrical Engineering degree preferred.
- 5+ years supporting mission-critical facilities, laboratories, industrial facilities, or data centers.
- Experience with:
o Switchgear
o Transformers
o UPS systems
o Generators
o Power monitoring systems
o Electrical testing and commissioning
- Familiarity with NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, IEEE standards, and electrical safety programs.
- Experience with utility coordination and capacity planning
Pay Range
