Buck '54 Bartender / Server

Winter is Coming! We are looking to fill our front of house team with experienced bartenders and servers. Come join Buck Hill Ski & Snowboard Area's new restaurant BUCK '54 BAR & GRILL in preparation for a record breaking ski season.

Forged in tradition and operated with the family in mind. Buck Hill is Minnesota’s premier year-round action sports resort and the place to be if you want to have fun outside any time of the year. We pride ourselves on providing a great experience for all our guests, with year-round offerings like skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, camps, development teams, and live music! We also have the perfect Event Center for sports banquets, weddings, receptions, and large group gatherings that can be booked year-round. We are seeking a positive outgoing and energetic full-time Bartender/Wait Staff tp support our front of house operations.

Customer Service:

• Greet and welcome guests warmly.
• Provide excellent customer service to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Answer questions about menu items, specials, and restaurant services.

Bartending:

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests.
• Maintain knowledge of various drink recipes and mix ingredients accurately.
• Check identification to verify legal drinking age.

Serving:

• Take food and drink orders accurately.
• Deliver orders to guests promptly.
• Ensure food and beverages are served to the correct standards and specifications.
• Monitor guests' dining experience and respond promptly to any requests or issues.

Event Support:

• Assist in setting up for events, including arranging tables, chairs, and bar stations.
• Provide service during events, ensuring all guests have an exceptional experience.
• Help with tearing down and cleaning up after events.
• Occasionally assist with events held on the hill.

Cash Handling:

• Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately.
• Balance cash register at the end of shifts.

Cleanliness and Maintenance:

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and dining area.
• Clean tables, remove used tableware, and ensure the bar and restaurant area is neat.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations.

Team Collaboration:

• Work collaboratively with kitchen and other restaurant staff.
• Assist in training new staff as needed.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive work environment.

Requirements

• Able to read, write, speak, understand and comprehend English fluently
• Able to communicate clearly, calmly and effectively with guests
• Able to stand for long periods of time of excess of 4-6 hours without sitting
• Ability to lift or move 25 lbs
• Must enjoy working with the public and have strong people skills and etiquette
• Must have a strong work ethic and able to help lead F&B staff by example
• Must have basic computer and cash handling skills
• Ability to be trained on and become proficient in Point of Sales System
• Proven working experience as a bartender/server preferred
• Excellent knowledge in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
