Description
Purpose: Configure SAR's ERP and build the monitoring toolkit so zakat, VAT and WHT data is captured, calculated, reported and flagged automatically.
Key responsibilities
Assess the current ERP set-up for tax codes, GL mapping and master data, and close the gaps for zakat, VAT and WHT.
Build or configure zakat base tracking, calculation and reporting inside the ERP.
Embed tax checks in daily posting and the monthly close so data stays accurate continuously.
Build the VAT/WHT validation and monitoring model: return-to-GL reconciliation, sample tests, exception logs.
Configure alerts that notify management of discrepancies and unusual patterns (e.g. rate mismatches, missing WHT on foreign payments, spikes vs prior months).
Design exportable, audit-ready reports in formats ZATCA and external auditors accept.
Document the solution and train finance users; hand over to SAR's IT and tax teams.
