Job Description

The Sales Training Manager translates commercial strategy into measurable business results by building selling capability, strengthening sales leadership, and embedding execution discipline through structured training and coaching. Partnering with Sales Leadership, Commercial Excellence, and Marketing, the role accelerates adoption of commercial processes, tools, and platforms to drive consistent performance and a scalable, customer‑centric culture of continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

Capability Strategy, Training & Coaching

• Develop competency frameworks, assessments, and structured development pathways to drive execution excellence
• Deliver high‑impact live training and coaching across workshops, field coaching during customer visits and recorded/self‑learning formats
• Build structured onboarding to accelerate new associate readiness and alignment to BD tools and processes
• Strengthen sales manager leadership, coaching discipline, and performance management capability

Commercial Tools, Platforms & Adoption

• As the country focal for Global/Regional direction, drive effective use of tools, systems and platforms, ensuring training, adoption, metrics, and compliance
• Develop and localize practical sales enablement assets, including training content, playbooks, job aids, and coaching guides aligned to commercial priorities

Sales Manager Enablement & Execution Excellence

• Partner with sales leaders to elevate the quality of sales cadence activities (1:1s, pipeline reviews, forecasting)
• Enable consistent execution standards through practical tools, frameworks, and coaching to drive consistent people development and execution standards

Stakeholder Partnership, Measurement & Culture

• Support cross‑functional projects where sales and marketing capability, behaviour change, or change management is critical to success
• Measure training and coaching effectiveness using business‑relevant metrics and refine programs based on outcomes and feedback
• Design and execute internal communications to create visibility of Commercial Excellence initiatives, progress, and impact
• Champion a culture of sales excellence, continuous improvement, customer centricity, and coaching‑led performance
  

Competencies and skills

Commercial Background & Capability Building

• Strong understanding of sales, marketing, and customer engagement in a medical device or complex B2B environment
• Deep knowledge of sales and coaching methodologies (e.g. SPIN, Challenger, Solution Selling, Value Selling, Miller Heiman, GROW)
• Proven ability to design and embed sales capability programs that drive behavioural change

• Strong field coaching capability across sales representatives and frontline sales managers
• Ability to influence without authority and operate credibly with senior sales leaders

Performance & Analytics

• Results‑oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Able to assess capability gaps and link development actions to business outcomes

Systems, Tools & Ways of Working

• Strong working knowledge of Salesforce (SFDC) or similar CRM platforms and planning tools
• Organised, execution‑focused, and comfortable operating in a matrixed, fast‑paced environment

Communication & Stakeholder Management

• Exceptional communication skills
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence cross‑functionally

Education and experience

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with proven track record in designing, delivering, and continuously improving sales capability programs aligned to commercial strategy
