Job Description
As a Security Officer Armed Forty Caliber Patrol in Highland, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service. - Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, shoppers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a retail or mall location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the business, common areas, parking areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or policy concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to appropriate site contacts or law enforcement when needed.
- Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain professional communication with Allied Universal leadership, client representatives, and responding emergency personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
- Possess a 40 Caliber Endorsement.
- Possess a California Weapons Permit with a 9mm Caliber Endorsement.
- A valid Firearms Permit is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
