Overview
Who we are
Collaborative. Respectful. A place to dream and do. These are just a few words that describe what life is like at Toyota. As one of the world’s most admired brands, Toyota is growing and leading the future of mobility through innovative, high-quality solutions designed to enhance lives and delight those we serve. We’re looking for talented team members who want to Dream. Do. Grow. with us.
An important part of the Toyota family is Toyota Financial Services (TFS), the finance and insurance brand for Toyota and Lexus in North America. While TFS is a separate business entity, it is an essential part of this world-changing company- delivering on Toyota's vision to move people beyond what's possible. At TFS, you will help create best-in-class customer experience in an innovative, collaborative environment.
Toyota does not offer support or sponsorship of job applicants for employment-based visas or any other work authorization for this role now or in the future. You must have the right to work in the United States and not require Toyota support or sponsorship for immigration-related employment (e.g., H-1B, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 STEM OPT, F-1 CPT, ‘job flexibility benefits’ [also known as I-140 or Adjustment of Status portability], etc.) now or in the future. You should not apply for this role if you will require Toyota to assist with immigration support or sponsorship now or in the future.
Who we’re looking for
This position sits within the Discover pillar of the Learning & Development organization. The Consultant, Enterprise Learning Strategy owns a portfolio of business relationships and the learning initiatives those relationships generate.
This role serves as a trusted advisor and single business contact, leading discovery, framing business problems, defining success, and shaping portfolio recommendations that align to enterprise priorities. In partnership with the Manager, Enterprise Learning Strategy, this role brings forward portfolio insights that inform broader enterprise learning strategy while remaining focused on consulting and strategy rather than solution design or delivery.
What you’ll be doing
- Own a portfolio of business relationships and the learning initiatives that come from them, serving as the trusted advisor and single point of contact for assigned business partners.
- Lead structured intake and discovery to clarify business context, constraints, outcomes, risks, and success criteria before work moves into design.
- Frame the real business problem, run gap analysis, and challenge assumptions to confirm whether learning is the right solution.
- Define what success looks like, what counts as done, and how learning or performance recommendations connect to business KPIs and financial outcomes.
- Recommend a blend of learning, performance support, and process change when evidence shows a broader performance solution is needed.
- Prioritize which initiatives in the portfolio move forward, in what order, and with what supporting evidence.
- Partner with the Manager, Enterprise Learning Strategy to align portfolio decisions to enterprise priorities and capacity.
- Collaborate with Enable to use data and insights that demonstrate business value and guide follow-up conversations with stakeholders.
- Coordinate with Design, Deliver, and Enable teams to shape and sequence work while keeping ownership of business alignment and problem definition.
What you bring
- 4-year college degree (BA or BS) or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in consulting, learning strategy, performance consulting, business analysis, or a related role.
- Strong consulting skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with business partners and mid-to-senior leaders.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct gap analysis, frame business problems, and distinguish learning needs from broader performance, process, or change needs.
- Business acumen and metrics orientation, including the ability to connect recommendations to business KPIs, operational measures, and financial outcomes.
- Ability to manage portfolio priorities, sequence work, and make evidence-based recommendations in collaboration with leaders and cross-functional partners.
- Strong collaboration and influence skills across business partners, Enable, Design, Deliver, and other L&D teams.
- Customer First mindset, change management awareness, and commitment to Toyota values including Respect for People, Continuous Improvement, and Genchi Genbutsu.
Added bonus if you have
- Financial services industry experience preferred.
- Experience advising business leaders on learning, performance, or change initiatives within a portfolio model.
- Experience using business data, workforce insights, or operational metrics to shape recommendations and demonstrate value.
What we’ll bring
During your interview process, our team can fill you in on all the details of our industry-leading benefits and career development opportunities. A few highlights include:
- A work environment built on teamwork, flexibility, and respect
- Professional growth and development programs to help advance your career, as well as tuition reimbursement
