Overview

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and licensed Clinical Psychologist to provide psychological assessment, counseling, and therapeutic services to children and adolescents. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, experience working with pediatric and adolescent populations, and the ability to establish a safe and supportive therapeutic environment for patients.

  • Weekends Only (Saturday and/or Sunday)
  • Flexible hours based on patient census and clinical needs
  • Independent Contractor / Professional Services Agreement

 

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 
  • Conduct psychological assessments and clinical evaluations of children and adolescent patients.
  • Provide individual psychotherapy and therapeutic interventions using evidence-based practices.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
  • Assess emotional, behavioral, cognitive, and psychiatric functioning.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings.
  • Document clinical encounters, progress notes, assessments, and recommendations in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide crisis intervention and clinical support as needed.
  • Monitor patient progress and recommend treatment modifications when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, nursing staff, social workers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical, professional, accreditation, and licensing standards.

 

 

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

 
  • Doctoral Degree (Psy.D) in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and unrestricted Psychology license in Puerto Rico.
  • Experience providing psychological services to children and adolescents.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health diagnoses, psychological testing, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  • Strong clinical judgment, assessment, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary environment.

 

 

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Current and unrestricted Psychology license in Puerto Rico.
  • CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility)
