Description
- Support the Budget Process: Help develop, analyze, and present the County’s annual operating budgets. Your work will directly inform decisions made by the Budget Director, the County Administrator, and the Board of Supervisors.
- Collaborate and Solve Problems: Work with departments across the County to advise on financial management, policy development, and performance management. Your analysis can help drive improvements in the effectiveness of County programs and services.
- Provide Expert Guidance: Become a subject matter expert on the financial and policy decisions affecting your assigned areas of focus. Portfolio assignments can include supporting departments with operating budget planning and analysis, analyzing and forecasting revenues, and/or modeling personnel and benefit costs to support collective bargaining negotiations. You’ll help shape recommendations that impact key resource allocation decisions.

Hiring salary is commensurate with experience.
The County will consider candidates for both the Management Analyst III and Management Analyst IV (Senior Analyst) levels, depending on qualifications. The FY 2027 salary range for the Management Analyst III level is $71,712.65-$125,497.14 The FY 2027 salary range for the Management Analyst IV level is $76,820.39-$134,435.69.
Management Analyst III: Requires a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; three (3) years of related work experience in areas such as government, budget management, policy analysis, project management, or program evaluation; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Management Analyst IV: Requires bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; four (4) years of related work experience in areas such as government, budget management, policy analysis, project management, or program evaluation; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
This position requires thorough knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with Microsoft 365 suite, Oracle or other enterprise resource planning software is a plus and strongly preferred.
