Under direction, the Senior Software Analyst performs supervisory and advanced technical work in planning, implementing, and managing the County’s cybersecurity systems, mobile device management (MDM), website, and related applications. This position is the principal lead for cybersecurity initiatives, threat monitoring, incident response, mobile device administration, website support, and associated application oversight. The employee must exercise independent judgment, attention to detail, and ensure secure, reliable, and effective technology services. 

Position reports to the Director of Information Technology.
  • Supervises, assigns, reviews, and evaluates the work of cybersecurity, MDM, and application support team members, including County staff, vendors, and contractors. 
  • Serves as principal lead for the planning, implementation, and management of County cybersecurity systems, MDM platforms, websites, and related applications. 
  • Develops, documents, and enforces cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures to safeguard County systems, networks, and applications. 
  • Oversees and administers the County’s MDM environment, ensuring secure configuration, monitoring, and management of mobile devices, applications, and data. 
  • Coordinates the development, maintenance, and security of the County’s website and associated web applications. 
  • Directs incident detection, response, and recovery processes for cybersecurity threats and breaches. 
  • Monitors cybersecurity tools, intrusion detection systems, firewalls, and SIEM platforms for suspicious activity. 
  • Coordinates and manages documentation, training materials, and user guidelines for cybersecurity, MDM, and website systems. 
  • Plans and oversees upgrades, enhancements, and integrations of cybersecurity, MDM, and website platforms.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to IT staff, vendors, and contractors supporting cybersecurity and related applications. 
  • Supports County end-users with cybersecurity, MDM, and website-related training, troubleshooting, and problem resolution. 
  • Performs other related duties as necessary to ensure the secure and effective operation of County cybersecurity systems, MDM, website, and related applications.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field. 
  • Eight (8) or more years of progressive cybersecurity, systems analysis, or IT project management experience.
  •  Four (4) or more years of experience in cybersecurity or MDM administration and support is required. 
  • Two (2) years of experience in a technical supervisory role preferred. Equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and experience may be considered.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, CIS Controls, ISO 27001). 
  • Familiarity with MDM platforms and endpoint management solutions.
  • Experience with SIEM, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and security monitoring tools. 
  • Understanding of Systems Development Lifecycles, project management methodologies, and process improvement frameworks (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
