Qualifications: The candidate must:
- Have two or more years of experience as a Florida Plaintiff Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal.
- Be a Florida Registered Paralegal (FRP for at least 2 years.).
- Having gone to trial least once.
- Have experience in the preparation of cases for trial.
- Have excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Be a self-starter and self-motivated, able to meet deadlines.
- Have a strong work ethic and excellent organizational skills.
- Have exemplary tenure with previous employers.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
- Bilingual (Spanish-English) is a plus.
- Have a 4-year degree or a two-year paralegal degree.
Job Duties:
- Candidate must be able to schedule depositions, hearings, mediations, and arbitrations as needed.
- Prepare cases for trial and attend with attorneys throughout the trial.
- Organize, draft, review, and file complaints, answers and all discovery.
- Organize the file, prepare and attend trial.
- Preparation of other Pleadings, Motions, Complaints, and Orders under the supervision of attorneys, as needed.
- Maintain and follow up on all Non-Party production documents, including Requests for Copies and non-party logs.
- Provide legal support to attorneys and other paralegal staff.
- Knowledge of the E-filing system on both the State and Federal levels.
- Draft and review Civil Remedies Notices.
- Able to maintain contact with clients, judges, and opposing paralegals.
- This position may also be handling certain car, motorcycle, and/or trucking cases.
Benefits:
- $80,000.00-$100,000 per year.
- Plus, potential for monthly bonuses.
- 1 week paid vacation after 6 months.
- 2 weeks' paid vacation after one year.
- 3 weeks of paid vacation after two years.
