What You’ll Do
- Process customer transactions using point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Scan items and ensure accurate pricing
- Handle cash, cards, refunds, and exchanges accurately
- Bag customer purchases and assist with carryout when needed
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Support promotions, cross-selling, and product awareness
- Assist in other store areas as needed
- Perform opening and closing duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
- Previous cashier, retail, customer service, or sales experience preferred
- Familiarity with cash registers and POS systems
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Basic math and cash handling accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Professionalism and attention to detail
- Ability to handle stressful situations positively
- Flexible availability (days, evenings, weekends, holidays)
Work Environment
- Fast-paced grocery store front-end environment
- Exposure to varying temperatures near entrances and exits
- Standing for extended periods; lifting up to 25–50 lbs
