Develop & Enhance Automation Frameworks

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Pytest.
• Contribute to the evolution of AI-enabled or low-code testing capabilities under architectural guidance.

Translate Requirements into Automated Tests

• Collaborate with Business Analysts (BAs) and manual QAs to convert functional requirements into automated test scenarios.
• Support “prompt-to-test” initiatives by leveraging predefined frameworks and tooling.

Support Testing-as-a-Platform

• Enable QAs to adopt automation through reusable components, utilities, and low-code solutions.
• Maintain automation libraries and ensure ease of use across teams.

Implement Intelligent Test Practices

• Improve test reliability through mechanisms such as self-healing locators, retry strategies, and dynamic waits.
• Assist in building AI-assisted scripts or utilities (e.g., test generation, selector identification).

CI/CD Integration

• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps.
• Ensure automated smoke, regression, and integration tests are consistently executed.

Quality Metrics & Reporting

• Track and improve key QA metrics such as:
  • Test coverage
  • Flakiness rate
  • Defect leakage
• Contribute to dashboards and reporting mechanisms.

Collaboration & Mentorship

• Work closely with cross-functional teams (Dev, QA, BA) to ensure quality alignment.
• Mentor junior engineers and support onboarding on automation tools and best practices.

What You Bring

Experience

• 7–10 years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on automation.
• Proven hands-on experience in building and maintaining automation frameworks.

Technical Skills

• Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript and/or Python.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Pytest.
• Experience with API testing (REST/GraphQL) and tools like Postman, RestAssured.

Automation & Engineering Practices

• Good understanding of:
  • Test design principles
  • Page Object Model / modular framework design
  • Data-driven and behavior-driven testing

System Understanding

• Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Basic understanding of event-driven systems (Kafka, messaging queues).

CI/CD & DevOps Exposure

• Experience integrating automation suites in CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to Docker and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills

• Ability to debug failures and improve test stability.
• Strong focus on quality, scalability, and efficiency.

Good to Have

• Exposure to GenAI tools (e.g., OpenAI APIs, LangChain, LLM-based test generation).
• Experience with self-healing automation tools or AI-assisted test frameworks.
• Knowledge of test data management and synthetic data generation.
• Domain experience in Life Sciences / Pharma (GxP, CSV) is a plus.

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
