Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Response  in Delray Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. In this driving post, you will respond to site needs, support access and perimeter activities, and deliver professional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public-facing spaces, verifying credentials and/or permissions in accordance with post orders and location policies.
• Support law enforcement, first responders, and/or authorized representatives during emergencies, special events, evacuations, or other security-related situations requiring a visible armed presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess one of the following: three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or armed security releated, or a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card and unarmed guard card.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
