Job Description:

Performs visual, dimensional, functional and laboratory inspection as required, using hand tools, measurement and test equipment for the purpose of determining if the raw material received meets the requirements of the applicable drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Inspects raw material received, following the applicable procedures in order to determine if they meet the requirements, likewise, gives the appropriate disposition based on the results of the inspection.
• It uses and interprets the procedures applicable to the inspection function, as well as drawings and specifications applicable to the raw material in order to determine the procedure to be followed and the characteristics to be inspected.
• It uses measuring and testing equipment ensuring that it is calibrated and in good condition.
• It uses the electronic system to verify information, record the result of the inspection, and transfer the inspected raw material.
• Generates and archives inspection reports recording the information in a legible and correct way following the applicable procedures.
• Handle rejected materials and unqualified special materials following applicable procedures to ensure they comply with them.
• Performs first-piece component inspections and first batch inspections, following applicable procedures to determine if the component meets your requirements.
• Performs special inspections of engineering materials, based on Service Requisitions.
• Support to train personnel new to the area in the applicable procedures.
• Perform basic Preventive Maintenance routines such as cleaning equipment among others.
• Identify and report misalignments between applicable procedures
• Identify and document opportunities for improvement applicable to the work area

Requirements & Qualifications:

• 4 – 6 years of experience as Technician or other similar function.
• Knowledge of computational packages.
