Position Responsibilities:
The Safety Specialist implements and delivers company’s safety and risk management initiatives while analyzing risk data to identify work with opportunities and injury prevention focus
You will coordinate safety committee meetings and activities with key employees and management discussing risk assessments of facilities with recommendation to mitigate identified risks
This role will facilitate the safety component of new hire orientation by conducting safety training for management and recommended training opportunities
The Safety Specialist will coordinate with local management in the investigation of workplace injuries and collisions as well as modifying duty assignments and interactive processes at the direction of the IDM team
Additionally, you will coordinate and participate in all workers’ compensation and auto liability claim reviews in weekly management team meetings
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree with 3 plus years of related experience or High School Diploma/General Education Degree and 6 plus years of specific experience
