Patient Access Services - Scheduler

Delta Health System is seeking a dedicated Scheduler to join our patient-focused team.

Requirements:

• Will complete a thorough and full patient registration via telephone contact with the patient, guarantor, or referring provider prior to the patients arriving for their outpatient clinic, testing or surgery appointment.High School diploma or equivalent required
• Consults with staff, physicians, and the Chief Nursing Officer on nursing problems and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met
• Previous clinical background preferred, such as Radiology Tech; preferred
• One or more years’ experience in a patient access role preferred.
• Typing/computer skills necessary; a minimum of 35 wpm required 
• Knowledge of Medical Insurance,
• Excellent telephone etiquette/communication
• On the job training may be required after being hired, along with continuing educational requirements to maintain employment. .
