JOB TITLE: Front desk Representative at Junior Achievement
PAY RATE: $20.00/hour
REPORTS TO: Office Manager
Shifts: part-time, 10-15 hours per week M-F during hours of operation:
LOCATION(S): 1745 University Ave W, St Paul, MN 55104

POSITION SUMMARY
This position supports all areas of JA North (Program, Advancement, Districts and Administration). In addition, this position provides a great first impression and memorable experience from the front desk at JA North.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet all visitors to the JA Hemak Experiential Learning Center with a welcoming and helpful attitude.
- Maintains security by following procedures, issuing visitor badges.
- Receive calls to the main office phone and transfer calls as needed.
- Help direct all guests and volunteers to their assigned areas in the building.
- Accept deliveries.
- Maintain safe and clean reception area, including stocking supplies for coffee bar
- Provide support on other special projects such as meetings, special events, and data entry
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Exhibit polite and professional communication via phone, email and mail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take initiatives when the need arises.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal with a diverse type of people.
- Good work ethic, a flexible and non-judgmental approach to people
- Strong communication skills that include absorbing, sharing, and understanding information and communicating details (whether written or verbal) in multiple different outlets.
- Knowledge and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

THESE QUALITIES WILL HELP YOU STAND OUT:
- An educational/instructional background
- Fluency in Spanish, Hmong, or Somali language
- Business and/or entrepreneurial experience
