Your New Role
The Sr. Analyst, Tax Systems is a hands-on, business-facing role responsible for the configuration, support, and issue resolution of the OneSource tax engine and its integrations with SAP Ariba and SAP S/4HANA. This role acts as a key point of contact for gathering requirements, triaging issues, and coordinating directly with business stakeholders. The Sr. Analyst brings a strong functional understanding of indirect and withholding tax, including India GST and European tax requirements, and works closely with the Analyst, onshore Tax Architect, and other stakeholders to provide end-to-end tax solution support.
Key Responsibilities
Business Engagement & Requirements Gathering
- Serve as a business-facing point of contact for GBS and other Hyderabad-based business stakeholders on tax systems matters.
- Gather and document business requirements for tax configuration changes, enhancements, and new scenarios through direct engagement with the business.
- Communicate and coordinate with business teams to clarify requirements, manage expectations, and provide status updates.
Functional Configuration & Support
- Configure and maintain OneSource tax engine settings, tax rules, and tax determination logic.
- Provide day-to-day functional support for tax-related issues in SAP Ariba and SAP S/4HANA.
- Troubleshoot tax determination and posting discrepancies and work through issues to resolution.
- Apply functional tax knowledge across indirect tax (e.g., India GST and European VAT) and withholding tax to validate configurations and postings.
Issue Triage & Collaboration
- Triage incoming tax systems issues, determine root causes, and route or resolve issues appropriately.
- Collaborate closely with team members from T&O and other stakeholders to provide end-to-end tax solution support.
- Manage incidents and enhancements through ticket management systems such as ServiceNow.
Testing
- Execute functional and integration testing for OneSource, SAP Ariba, and SAP S/4HANA tax scenarios.
- Validate end-to-end tax determination and postings across the transaction lifecycle, as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5–7 years of experience in tax systems support or implementation.
- Expertise with OneSource tax solutions.
- Experience implementing OneSource integration with SAP Ariba.
- Experience implementing OneSource integration with SAP S/4HANA.
- Strong functional understanding of indirect tax and withholding tax, including experience with India GST and European tax requirements.
- Demonstrated experience as a business-facing analyst, including requirements gathering, issue triage, and direct communication with business stakeholders.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with Analysts, Tax Architects, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver end-to-end tax solution support.
- Experience using ticket management systems such as ServiceNow for incident and enhancement management.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Good understanding of SAP S/4HANA and SAP Ariba, with the ability to support end-to-end issue analysis and testing.
- Knowledge of e-invoicing solutions such as Pagero, Edicom, or Sovos.
- Working knowledge of SAP modules including MM, SD, and AP, and their impact on taxation processes.
- Experience working in a national or global organization.
