Position Overview:
As a Counter Sales Person, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and sales support to clients in the plumbing and electrical industry. The ideal candidate will have previous experience selling plumbing or electrical parts, and be bilingual in English and Spanish. Knowledge of pipes and supplies is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers with their purchases, inquiries, and orders
- Provide product knowledge and recommendations to customers
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain inventory levels and restock shelves as needed
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and company goals
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and product knowledge
- Follow all safety and security procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in sales, preferably in the plumbing or electrical industry
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is required
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of pipes and fire lines is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficient in basic computer skills and point-of-sale systems
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods of time
- Detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate records
- Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
Contract Details:
This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package. The working hours will be Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends as needed. The company is committed to providing a safe and inclusive work environment for all employees.
