Weiser Memorial Hospital - rated as one of Idaho's 2026 best places to work - is seeking a Staff pharmacist to join our team.
Our Staff Pharmacists are responsible for interpreting physician prescriptions and medication orders. They act as a drug information resource to patients, medical staff, nursing staff and ancillary department personnel. Our Staff Pharmacists compound and dispense prescribed medications and other pharmaceuticals for patient care by performing the related duties. They are responsible for providing quality medical evaluation and treatment to patients of all ages, to restore, maintain and improve health. This role involves working as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality care while maintaining patient confidentiality, clear communication, and professionalism.
Key duties include reviewing physician orders to ensure accuracy and the correct dispensing of medications. Contributing to the treatment decision-making process for each patient through the review of the History and Physical, Home Medication List, Medical Imaging, Lab Values, and other clinical information as needed. Reviewing the patient’s admission medication list and hospital orders to identify a drug’s potential side effects, harmful interactions with other drugs and suitability of treatments for patients with particular health conditions. Assisting the physician in determining medications, doses and frequency of administration via monitoring lab values, and providing pharmaceutical care to all ages of patients from newborns to the elderly.
As a member of Weiser Memorial Hospital, the staff pharmacist is expected to adhere to service excellence standards, provide compassionate care, and comply with hospital policies and safety protocols.

Requirements
- Doctorate of Pharmacy degree or Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent.
- Graduated from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
- Current Pharmacist certification or licensure in the State of Idaho
- Current State and Federal DEA.
- Current BLS Certification.
- Education in all age groups ranging from newborn to the geriatric population obtained either in school education or subsequent training
